Physical Description : Akya is tall and slender, with light black hair on top of her head. She has piercing green eyes which can hold your gaze strongly, set above high cheekbones. She is of average height and build, and does not stickout in any crowd.

Personality : Akya can be a bit shy at times with new people, but will open up quickly if you meet her acquaintance. She is reserved with strangers, but is not above having a roaring good time with her close friends. When around friends she tends to open and up and become very social.

Life Story : Akya grew up at a little farm deep in a lush green valley in Thread's End Hold's furthest territory next to a slow moving river. She was the only girl in a holdful of brothers, both older and younger. She was the exact middle of 5 children. Her mother and father farmed the land in the summer and fall, just enough food to provide for their family and sell at market to bring revenue to buy other staples. Her father raised draft runners as a minor commodity of the farm. Akya loved riding the giant runners around the farm, and had a secret hideout built a good candle mark's ride from the hold where she would go to get away from all the males in her family. She was a tomboy at heart, and was usually found beside her brothers, farming, riding runners, and working the farm. Akya also had her soft side, in which she could occasionally be persuaded to help her mother with the cooking, cleaning and mending, but the call of the outside and the runners usually had her frustrated indoors within a half a day. Akya wassearch for the weyr while helping her father bring draft yearlings to sell at the spring marketday, and subsequently impressed green Myth that same hatching, at the age of 16. At 21, during a sweepride, Akya found two runaway children, hiding from a tyrant father. An older boy, Sajen, and ayounger girl Satrys. The girl was afflicted with fire head, and Akya took her to the weyr infirmary. Although she recovered from fire-head, the sickness left her permanently blind. Akya took the two children in as their foster-parent, although she viewed them more as younger siblings, being only 7 years older than the boy.

Physical Dragon : Myth is a beautiful medium shade of Kelly green, with her extremities darkening to a more hunter green, although this is mostly only noticed in the bright sunlight. She is a bit large for a green, barely smaller than a blue dragon, which Akya finds to her liking, being reminded of the huge draft runners her father raised. Myth has a very large thread score scar running down her right flank, and various minor scars around her wings from many thread battles.

Dragon's Personality: Myth has a very shallow sense of humor, understanding that something is funny, but not usually knowing why. She forgets things as quickly as they come to her, and is not easily roused into anger, unless you are hurting her rider. She is very calm and passive, content to lie peacefully in the sun, but will display energy when it is needed, such as when fighting thread. She is very emphatic toward her rider, and often sleeps at night with her head just in the doorway of Akya's sleeping chamber. Swimming is a favorite activity, as well as unexpected aerial tricks and barrel rolls with Akya on her back.

Pet Description : Raiden was found by Akya along with 3 siblings, orphaned when a stray thread killed his mother. 4 of the 9 pups were able to escape and were later found, exhausted and half drowned, by Akya. Raiden remained with Akya, and is rambunctious and chaotic. He has tremendous energy, and a very large black and tan canine, standing fully grown at Akya's waist. After tearing apart her weyr on numerous occasions and leaving a trail of destruction behind him as he pillaged the lower caverns, Akya sent him to the beast hall to be trained by a journeyman canine trainer. While still quite exuberant, and prone to occasional chewing, Raiden is exiting his ample puppy hood and has calmed considerably with the help of the trainer. He is very protective of Akya, and does not hesitate to defend her if he feels the need arises. (Editor's Note: Raiden is similar to a terran German Shepherd Dog)
