Physical Description : Barqua is a solid woman. She is not stocky or thick but could be described as more statuesque except that she is too short. Even at on 5' 2 she has a presence that makes her seem much taller, that and the fact that she is always standing on crates, gang planks, or ships when she is talking to someone. She has long chestnut hair that falls to the mid-back when it is loose, which is only when she is socializing; otherwise it is in a tail or a braid. She has darkly tanned and weathered skin and faded hazel eyes.

Personality : Barqua is a strong willed woman with a great sense of humor. She is cautious but not overly so. She is fair minded and expects everyone she teaches to try their best.

Life Story : Barqua is the daughter of seacrafters. She was born aboard a ship so sailing is as natural as walking to her. Four turns ago she met Lotch wrestling for show at a gather at one of her ports. It was kismet and they espoused three days later. Both came south and have recently taken teaching jobs at the Harper Hall. Barqua also handles cargo transfers and booking passage for the Harper Hall. She enjoys her work.
