Physical Description : Standing about five foot six, Caizo takes care to clean up well when ashore, with an eye for clothes which exaggerate his height and accentuate what he considers to be a gorgeous body, lean and strong from swimming and sailing. He wears his thick, shoulder-length black hair in a loose ponytail but there's not much he can do about the red in his wind-chapped cheeks or his terminal five o'clock shadow.

Personality : When there's a job to be done, Caizo does it, and then he likes to have fun. He's very simple and earnest, very direct, observant, talkative, and ever an optimist who loves to express his appreciation for the good things in life. He loves to be in the company of other people. Years of being at the mercy of the weather have made him too flexible; he never really believes anything anybody says, which has led to some stormy relationships with both men and women. He falls quickly in and out of love with new things, be they people, ideas, or adventures. He's aware of this tendency and tries to do better, he gets too easily lost in the moment. At the end of the day, he tells himself he's happy with who he is.

Life Story : From Sonnette's Dawn, Caizo's family is a fishing family, plying the sea to support their Hold. Caizo grew up on the water and learned to love the hard work, the wind and sea, even with its tedium, and particularly the satisfaction of a job well done. His father, never educated in the crafts, pushed him to mind his Harper, learn his letters, and apprentice to the seacraft. While posted at North Tip Fishing Hold on the ship Third Lady, dragons on Search plucked Caizo away to Ierne Island Weyr for Sinevath's clutch.
