Physical Description : Cerah is on the short side, petite, with shoulder length wavy blonde hair that she almost always has tied back in a simple ponytail. She has soft features, green-brown eyes and a plain yet pretty looking appearance, though her body type is more athletic than curvy - a fact she hates.

Personality : Cerah is almost always calm and collected, though she is easily embarrassed. Responsible in her duties as a dolphineer, she is a bit fanatical in her love of the job. She is soft spoken around strangers, straightforward and courteous with her fellow dolphineers or merchant ship captains, and outgoing and open with her friends. With her job comes a love of the beach as well as the open sea, and she harbors a secret love of jewelry and dressing up for festive occasions.

Life Story : Cerah was born at Tillek Hold, the second daughter of a successful merchant ship's captain. When she was young her family moved to Sonnette's Dawn Hold so her father could take advantage of the shipping trade between the north and the south. When the Dolphin Hall was opened, Cerah begged her parents to let her apprentice there. Her father enthusiastically agreed, her mother needed convincing and only grudgingly allowed her to attend after Cerah's repeated begging got on her nerves. Though they never wronged her in any way and always made sure to provide adequately for their children, neither of Cerah's parents were openly loving, a very occasional hug or bit of praise was here and there was standard. Cerah's mother, raised in a traditional northern hold, is very hidebound in her notions and firmly believes in manners, etiquette, status, and a 'correct' way to do things, which is not a way of thinking that Cerah shares. This often puts her at odds with her mother, who, while proud of Cerah's accomplishments, believes Cerah should marry either within her own craft, or find a wealthy holder like her older sister did, and settle down.

Insatiably curious, Aliea also has a strange love of the mundane, frequently asking Cerah to explain everyday human things she finds curious, such as keepsakes, jewelry, or even what was served for meals in the dining hall.
