Physical Description : Wide in girth and loud in voice, Cessine is a respect-demanding presence. She has an expressive face with blue eyes readily showing her approval or disapproval. Unlike her husband Svenold, she keeps her straw-colored hair cropped fairly short, earning the pair a good deal of teasing at times.

Personality : Cessine is a no-nonsense woman prone to take charge. She demands that others conduct themselves orderly around her domain and has no problems reining in a hall full of rowdy sailors and fishermen. She is most appreciated for her skills in cooking edible meals out of nothing but sandy seaweed and fish entrails, if necessary.

Life Story : Cessine married Svenold at Tillek and the pair has three children between the ages of 8 and 17. After moving to the South, Cessine quickly established her status as head of the kitchens and the embodiment of local law enforcement. She has no tolerance for anything she perceives as a threat to her children. Much to the fishermen's (and her husband's) dismay, she has taken it upon herself to control and sometimes banish the liquor consumption at the hold's Gathering Hall. This has prompted many of the sailors into a game of finding creative ways to smuggle bottles of rum around the Hall behind her back.
