Physical Description : Connacht stands a full six feet three inches in his stocking feet. His build is lean but not overly skinny -- he has too much muscle on his frame to be called a stringbean. His black hair curls tightly and his eyes are a sparkling emerald green. The journeyman's face is angular and narrow with slender, expressive eyebrows, a nose pointed nearly to beakiness, and thin lips which are often curved in a cheerful grin.

Personality : It is a rare occasion indeed when Connacht succumbs to the stress of a situation and fails to maintain his cheerful, easy-going attitude. Whether he is seeing a patient or conferring with his fellow healers, Connacht is polite, diplomatic, and light-hearted. His easy, joking manner almost invariably puts others at ease. In spite of this, however, few would ever doubt that he takes his work seriously. His counseling skills are indeed noteworthy, and his analyses are probing, intent, and usually accurate. Connacht also sees himself (probably correctly!) as something of a "ladies' man," and his appreciation for a pretty face is one of his greatest weaknesses. The journeyman's ready smile and gallant manner have won him no small number of hearts, but he has never settled down with one woman.

Life Story : Born to Brede and Connla, a pair of healers at Fort Hold, Connacht virtually grew up in the infirmary. Once he was old enough to be useful instead of merely underfoot, he apprenticed -- there was never any question in his mind of doing anything else. As he learned, he became more and more interested in the illnesses of them mind as well as those of the body, and so he concentrated in the study of mind healing. Thus far, most of Connacht's study has been at the Healer Hall at Fort Hold, and he has done very little journeying. In preparation for his Mastery exams, he was transferred to Ierne Island in the hopes that he would have the chance to work a bit more independently than at the Hall where, as he says, "healers come a dozen to the quarter-mark."
