Physical Description : A lot of personality wrapped in a small package is the most apt way to describe Danara. Only 5'2", the diminutive rider in no way lets her short stature deter her from anything she desires. Pale skin with light freckling on her shoulders and cheeks is set off by a head of hair the color of burnished copper, cropped short in an attractive bob that is still long enough to be worn up. Deep blue eyes like the summer sky are bright and perhaps a bit large, giving her a childlike expression most find endearing. Well toned muscles lend her a surprising amount of strength, though she still has a slender physique.

Personality : A force to be reckoned with. Strong willed and opinionated, Danara will say what's on her mind, never hiding behind etiquette or rank when she feels an injustice has occurred. Sometimes considered brusque, she just doesn't feel the need to waste time on fake pleasantries and would rather get down to the business at hand. Her sense of humor is more biting than most are used to but she has a ready laugh and a pleasant smile. Friendly and outgoing, she is well liked by others, though they are careful not to get on her bad side.

Life Story : Born to a small holder on the Southern Continent, Danara was the third in a long line of children born to Mazdan and Shilara. Her youth was spent learning the proper duties for a hold woman, though her mother often despaired of ever teaching the child how to behave in a way befitting her status. Constantly rebelling against the constraints of her position, Danara was eventually betrothed to the ridiculously young son of the cotholder of the lands bordering her father's own in the hopes that she would settle down and accept her lot in life. To Mazdan's dismay and Danara's pleasure, she was Searched before the nuptials could take place and her Impression of a green dragon ended any chances the holder had of expanding his lands through a union with his headstrong daughter. Mazdan disowned the weyrling and, though he tried to pair another of his offspring to the cotholder's boy, that son, Ragonis, ran away from home to become a harper instead. Eventually Mazara, the holder's eldest daughter, married Ragonis' cousin and the lands were joined amicably; Mazdan realized the error of his ways and made peace with his greenrider child.

Danara's dragonrider training at Thread's End Weyr passed without incident, she and her dragonet Magiarth working hard and only getting into a modicum of trouble for a weyrling. After graduating into a Lower Flight, the pair decided to visit a friend at the southern Harper Hall and discovered in an almost comedic encounter involving hysterical girls and a blood smeared dragon, that Magiarth had the uncanny ability to sense potential riders. She promptly returned home in hopes of whisking a few of her younger siblings to the Weyr but it seemed she was the only one in her family destined to fight Thread.

The Turns passed and she and her dragon Searched many eventual riders, including a gawky young Journeyman Artist who caught Danara's eye. M'der and she didn't manage to develop a relationship for four more Turns, owing to his shyness and absorption in his drawings as well as to Danara's not wanting to hinder his weyrling training and her inability to discuss her feelings. But destiny finally brought them together on Turn's End of Turn 37 and the two have been weyrmated happily since.

Physical Dragon : Magiarth is a dainty dragon, small but not below average for her color. Her hide is the green of the first shoots of spring grass, fairly uniform all over except for lighter dapples underneath her chin and neck. Managing to avoid scoring so far, no scars mar the supple skin.

Dragon's Personality:Inquisitive and playful, Magiarth is the perfect compliment to her rider's more willful disposition, often diffusing situations before they can get blown out of proportion. Partial to children because of her Search abilities, she enjoys spending time near the common play areas frequented by weyrbrats and is always enthusiastic about field trips outside the Weyr. When not tickling her senses with potential Candidates, she is most readily found on M'der's weyr ledge, curled up with blue Samanth in the warm sunshine.
