Physical Description : D'nif is deeply tanned, with shoulder length, brownish red hair, usually tied together in the back. He stands at 5 foot 10 inches tall; He is not muscular but can hold his own in a wrestling match. He has hazel eyes and is often smiling. The small finger on his left hand is missing, and he has a deep threadscore across his left arm.

Personality : Once very talkative, curious and personable, D'nif suffered a blow to his self esteem with the loss of his finger. For a time he became a loner because of the incident, and only reluctantly participated in his harpering duties at Green Ridge Hold.

At the impression of his dragon, D'nif's life took another turn and he regained his normal personality traits. He loves to arm wrestle, and has developed a fondness for gambling, especially on runner races.

Life Story : D'nif was born the fourth son of a herder near Telgar hold. His foster mother was a trained singer and encouraged D'nif to sing and play the pipes from the time he was first fostered at age six.

He entered the Harper Hall at twelve, where he spent 6 unremarkable years. He walked the tables to Journeyman status at eighteen. He is a high tenor, and sings very well. His primary instrument is the pipes, though he has qualified on all harper instruments as required to become Journeyman.

His first assignment outside the Harper Hall was assigned to work with Journeywoman Healer Astira, a research healer who walked the southern wilds collecting and testing new botanic specimens for their medicinal value to the Healercraft.

During this first journey, D'nif was caught outdoors during threadfall, and was scored across his left arm and hand. Because of the damage, the little finger on his left hand had to be amputated. He began to struggle with his self esteem as he lost the ability to play his pipes. He reluctantly took up a position at Green Ridge Hold, at the behest of the Master Harper at the end of this first journey.

During his second journey with Master Healer Astira, D'nif was searched by a dragonrider from Ierne Island Weyr. Presented as a candidate he was chosen by bronze Rith.

Physical Dragon : A deep bronze at hatching, his wings are mottled with splotches of a lighter shade of bronze, as is the ridge area down his back toward his tail. He is not beautiful as bronzes go, but is on the larger size. He was hatched with a deep chest and strong firm wings, which will likely make him a great endurance flyer.

Dragon's Personality:Rith is an intensely loyal dragon to his rider and anyone D'nif calls a friend. He is full of self confidence, and imbues that trait into his rider. He enjoys mentally joining in whatever D'nif is currently occupied with, including any gambling the rider has involved himself in. He doesn't however understand why D'nif enjoys runners and runner racing to the extent he does, since they are essentially just dinner on the hoof.
