Physical Description: Ellia is a tall girl, with brown curly hair she tends to let have it's own way. Her skin is tanned from the sun, a darker complexion than most of her family. She has klah coloured eyes, and a nose that's a bit too small for her face. Her arms and legs are thick from swimming, but overall she is in very good condition.

Personality: Ellia is generally calm and thoughtful. However she tends to depression at times, and it can take a might effort to shake her out of it. She is highly opinionated, and tends to be stubborn. Though with one notable exception (her father) she knows when not to state her opinion...most of the time. She is very protective of the people she cares for, a trait that comes from being eldest daughter. She has an easy laugh, though sometimes she's so lost in thought she's the last to get a joke.

Life Story: Ellia is the oldest daughter, and third child of a minor seaholder. Her eldest brother, Mitai, tends to follow where their father leads. The next eldest Mitrol, though often in disagreement with their father loves fishing above all, so spends his time on his ship, leaving his younger siblings to fend for themselves.

Ellia's father is a good man, though very hidebound. Ellia disagreed with him on all manners of running the hold; a disgraceful practice to her mother who felt women should be seen and not heard. But Ellia has a sharp mind, and was forever clashing with their father on her ideas of how the hold should, and should not, be run.

He tried to marry her off, when she was sixteen, to a taciturn man almost two decades her senior. She baulked loudly, and pulled in the surprising support of both elder brothers who did not want to see her married off to a man who had already buried three wives from over-bearing children.

In desperation, Mitrell sent her to Dolphin Hall, since one of their biggest clashes had always centred around the use of dolphins. In truth, he was relieved to see her go...she was an, "unsettling" influence on her little sisters, Carrny and Emlia, and her bookish younger brother Mobry.

She has been at the Dolphin Hall for most of the past turn, living a contented life. She has been befriended by a dolphin, Gai, an older female who has already reared several calves. An eternal 'mother', she has a settling influence on humans, most especially Ellia. Ellia hopes to be accepted as her partner, when the day comes that she walks the tables.
