Physical Description : Very tall and lean, nearly to the point of looking emaciated. He has thick salt and pepper hair and bushy eyebrows. His nose is long and hooked. His smile is ready and he knows no strangers. The dragons like him and understand he is there to help. He loves his patients but has never attempted to Impress despite being given the offer early in the pass. He has roamed from one Weyr to the next, helping to train the prospective dragonhealers of the planet. He dreams that one day, dragonhealers will be officially recognised as a craft of their own.

Personality : Galanori is a well-tempered man, mature, and happy with his life. He is ready to settle down in one spot and thinks Thread's End Weyr will be the place for him.

Life Story : His father was a holder over a minor hold beholden to Southern Boll that raised runners. His mother was a journeywoman healer who had as many four-legged patients as she did two-legged, if not more.

Galanori grew up loving animals and loving to help them. He met his first dragon at a Gather at the age of eleven. The blue snuffled around him quite a bit, to the embarrassment of the young rider. Galanori was entranced. From then on, he learned all he could about dragons and asked to apprentice as a healer of dragons. He was quite disappointed to find there were no such people. So, instead, he apprenticed as a healer. Knowing of his bent toward animals, specifically dragons, the Healer Hall helped to direct him, and when he gained his journeyman's knot shortly after the beginning of the present pass, he was sent to Igen Weyr to learn from the Oldtimer healers and riders about dragonhealing.

He stayed at Igen for several turns until he had gained enough knowledge to test for his Master's knot. Finally, at the age of thirty-four, he achieved it, and since then, he has travelled from Weyr to Weyr, making a name for himself as one of the premier healers of dragons.
