Physical Description : G’darean has about 27 turns, over six lanky feet tall, light complected, with a shock of wavy blond hair and blue eyes in a laughing face.

Personality : He's carefree and dare-devilish but within the constraints of being a dragonrider, and he's fastidious about his appearance. When F'len first took over Right Fore and reinstituted rope drills, the older riders who knew what that entailed neglected to tell a younger and somewhat naive G'darean, who was alternately heartbroken and annoyed when his good leathers ended up with red dye all over them. He's since taken to wearing an old set to any drills.

G'darean likes to bet on runnerbeast races and is good enough at it that F'len once made him pay back some holderfolk at a Sonnette's Dawn gather when the bluerider won under questionable circumstances. G'darean listened to his wingleader and returned the marks but more because the alternative was to be pummeled by some fairly brawny types who had objected to his winnings.

Life Story : Gandarean was born and raised at Southern Weyr, quickly turning into a heartbreaker of young women with his boyish charm and good looks. At 16 turns, a ravenously hungry blue dragonet managed to snatch his heart on a more permanent basis, and for at least three turns during his Weyrling training, any romantic liaisons were put on hold.

Once in a fighting wing at Southern and having been loosed from the restrictions of the Weyrbound, G'darean returned to breaking hearts, some female and some male as he learned another side of himself as a result of an eager young Torienth's mating flights.

But despite his light-hearted, don't-take-life-seriously attitude, G'darean and his feisty blue proved agile and conscientious Thread fighters, gaining solid experience over six turns of flying with a fighting wing at Southern. They've been at Thread's End Weyr for the last two turns and have settled down somewhat lately. Love does that to you. She was from the lower caverns, a blue eyed beauty with hair the color of polished mahogany in sunlight, and G'darean fell hard. Luckily, so did the lovely Ceilene.

G'darean and Ceilene have two children. Damon, with eight turns, is Ceilene's by a previous liaison with a rider from a different Weyr. Damon has a club foot -- which hasn't stopped him from doing much of anything! -- and is currently fostered with Kiessa and Bajarn at the Woodcraft Hall, along with their adopted son Luegh. Little Gadreil was born to G'darean and Ceilene in month six of turn 35 and is already proving he's inherited his mother's good looks and his father's penchant for wrapping anyone in the vicinity around his chubby little finger. (Or is it his father's good looks and his mother's penchant...?)

Dragon's Description : Torienth is the blue of a harper cloak in shadow. He's a little on the small side of normal for a blue, but what he lacks in size he more than makes up for in speed, agility, and determination. He's well proportioned and slim rather than stocky, but his small frame is comprised mainly of well honed muscle.

Dragon's Personality : Torienth has many of the same attributes as his rider: he's light-hearted and a bit naive but fierce and feisty when it comes to attacking Thread. He's also a talented Search dragon, having an excellent instinct for finding youngsters with dragonrider potential.
