| BLUE RIDER G'MARL |
![]()
Persona : G'marl
Writing Status : NPC/Free
Gender : Male
Age : 54
Rank/Craft : Blue Rider
Residence : Thread's End Weyr
Physical Description : Put G'marl in a miner's clothes or a smithcrafter's garb, and he'd fit right in. He's basically a "rough" individual. His hands are calloused. His clothes are generally worn. His brown hair is generally pulled back and tied off with a leather thong, still strands of hair always seem to pull loose to give him a disheveled look. He has a gruff way of speaking at times that masks the generally easy going nature inside.
Personality : He's what's known as a down-to-Pern, grass roots kind of man. He loves to work with his hands when he can and his appearance generally shows that. He's honest and straightforward, not prone to exaggeration or excitability. When he reports something bad, his Wingleader knows it something to pay attention to.
Life Story : G'marl was born in a Northern Weyr to one of the beastcrafters. He grew up around the herdbeasts, runners and ovines and loved every heartbeat of it. When he was Searched, he only agreed to humor his mother. To his surprise and her delight, he Impressed a blue dragon.
Whenever he could find the time during the two turns of Weyrling training and afterward when he was in the fighting Wings, G'marl would sneak away to spend some time with the Beastcrafters. He maintained the friendships he'd started when a child even after moving South to Thread's End Weyr. His friends like to tease him, saying that he only managed to keep his feet on the ground and his nose out of the air because they kept him from getting full of himself.
G'marl laughs when they say it but keeps his own council as he does on most things. After all, just because you know something doesn't mean you have to let everyone know that you know.
Dragon's Name : Rumeth
Dragon's Colour : Blue
Dragon's Age : 40
Sire and Dam : Transfer
Age of Rider at Impression : 14
Dragon's Description : Rumeth is a large blue but manages to keep some degree of flexibility. He can last a full Fall without too much trouble but won't hesitate to tell his rider when he's reached his limits.
Dragon's Personality : He's as rock solid as his rider. Both rider and dragon would make ideal Weyrlingmasters if they were so inclined. If you ask them, they'll say that can wait. They've still got Thread to flame.
