Physical Description : Hendon is a stocky man of average height. His hair, once a rich brown, is now starting to become shot through with white. He has brown eyes and a dark complexion that tans quickly without burning. Always far-sighted, the characteristic intensified as he passed into middle age, and he began to have problems viewing items at close range. During turn 35 he journeyed to Sonnette's Dawn Hold, where he had a pair of spectacles made by the smiths there. They have enabled him to see near items much more clearly and have made keeping records and reading hides a much less unpleasant task.

Personality : On the surface, Hendon is very easy going, and indeed, nothing makes him more content than to ease back in the evening with a cup of klah or spiced wine and the knowledge that all is well in his beasthold. Many find him to be a warm and hospitable person, though those in his company soon discover a keen intelligence and a sharp awareness of the goings-on in the Hold. He works diligently in assuring that TEH produces the finest beasts possible and that those at the Hold likewise receive the best care. He requires that all herders posted under him work for the good of the Hold and the craft, and, although he has a generously kind heart, he has little patience with those flighty or not willing to work hard.

Life Story : Hendon was born in the north, progressing through his apprentice and journeyman training no faster or slower than others of his age and status. While studying for the Master's rank at Keroon, he became intensely invovled in the breeding of runnerbeasts and set out to learn all there was to know about breeding for selected characteristics. His posting to Thread's End Hold came soon after he gained Master status, and the quality of the beasts produced by his efforts has gained no small reputation throughout the southern continent.
