BLUE RIDER H'LEV

Persona: H'lev
Writing Status: NPC/Owned
Age: 35
Gender: Male
Rank: Blue Rider of Ielarth
Residence: Thread's End Weyr
Birthplace: Southern Boll Hold
Father's Name: Soarn (deceased)
Father's Rank: Journeyman Harper
Mother's Name: Alisa

Physical Description: H'lev's 6'2" frame is lean, topped by a head of dark hair and green eyes. From his father, he inherited a musician's hands and long, tapering fingers. An old scar marks his right temple and the side of his neck. Caught once by a tail-end of Thread, he had to choose between protecting his hands or his face.

Personality: H'lev is quiet by nature, though he will speak his mind if asked. When troubled, he picks up his gitar and finds solace in the familiar chording of his childhood lessons.

Life Story: That Soarn's musical gift had been passed on to his son had been manifested at an early age. On the day the boy was to leave for Harper Hall to be apprenticed, however, he was Searched and wound up in the Weyr instead. Three Turns later he Impressed blue Ielarth. While visiting his parents as a weyrling, H'lev met Vaire, the daughter of a neighbour. They are lifemates, though she does not stay with him in his weyr. More at ease in the Hold, Vaire raises their three children (16-Turn old Vanyev, 10-Turn old Havie and 5-Turn old Vahl) close to their father's Weyr, and the situation was unchanged when H'lev transferred to TEW. Nearly every spare moment of H'lev's time is spent with his family.

Dragon's Name: Ielarth
Dragon's Colour: Blue
Dragon's Age: 18
Sire/Dam: Bronze Tenroth and Gold Nereth
Rider's Age at Impression: 16

Physical Dragon: Ielarth's hide reminds his rider of the sea deeps on a sunny day. Though fast, he bears faded marks of scoring on his neck and right wing.

Dragon's Personality: Like his rider, Ielarth also possesses great patience. H'lev's children view him as an indulgent playmate and sunshade; he sees them as well-trained scrubbers and likes having them at his disposal. He and his rider take great pride in a job well done, and no task has ever been completed unsatisfactorily.
