Physical Description : Jaenick is tall and would have been slender except that vigorous exercise keeps him muscular. His legs are long and lean and he can walk for days without flagging. His fingers are nimble and quick and can coax a tune out of any instrument. He wears his thick brown hair long and only ties it back occasionally. It is beginning to gray at the temples with age, but Jaenick considers that a mark of distinction. His eyes are the rich brown of klahbark and they have caused more than one lady to swoon.

Personality : Jaenick is soft spoken and gentle, full of compassion and capable of deep caring. He is well loved by everyone who meets him, especially the ladies. At first other men tend to think his passive manner means that he is defenseless, but beneath his kind demeanor is a core of iron. Jaenick would never be the first to lash out unless he is intervening in a situation that poses a danger to someone other than himself. He would prefer to find a peaceful and reasonable solution to trouble but he has spent enough turns travelling to know that such is not always possible.

Life Story : Jaenick was born in the Harper Hall to a Master of Voice and was surrounded by music from an early age. Fortunately for one in his situation, he had perfect pitch and was able to find a love for harpering in his soul. But his true joy comes from teaching and helping others to realize their full potential. So rather than remain at the Hall and take his mastery, he has spent most of his turns in various Holds and Crafthalls looking for talented youngsters with a desire to learn. He teaches them everything from music to math to wrestling. Whatever they hunger for, he tries to find for them. When Green Ridge was selected for the site of the newest Hold, he made his way there. A new land with people making a new start would need his help. Shortly after arriving, he met a young girl and her son who needed his help to make a home for themselves, and in doing so, Jaenick found his own place on Pern. To secure his position forever, he was persuaded to apply for his Master's knot. Upon successful review by his peers in the Harper Hall, he returned to Green Ridge Hold and made Dala his wife, an end to his journeying days forever.

Pet's Description : Buttle was a gift from Jaenick's father shortly after the harper received his journey status. The young bronze was an asset to Jaenick's early turns of travel, and after many turns of teaching, the small bronze is almost a partner. Together they help reach even the most difficult of students, making the lessons enjoyable for all.
