Physical Description : 5'11" tall, with shortly-cropped black hair, Jaismek is a very thin man; most of his weight is probably his skeleton. He always has a kind of yeasty odor about him, and rumors around the apprentices say that he lives in a fermeting vat, but, as usual, the rumors are wrong. Jaismek has an extremely sensitive nose, which makes him a good winemaker, but also has him abhor all kinds of scented oils and other strong odours not to do with his Craft. Oddly enough, ladies are drawn him even if he doesn't much care for them.

Personality : When it's not to do with his Craft, Jaismek prefers to stay quiet and out of sight, but when it is to do with his heart's desire, the Winecraft, the Master has a very commanding presence, but although he is very exacting of his Journeypersons and apprentices, expecting nothing less but perfection, he is also fair and will give credit to those who deserve it.

Life Story : Jaismek spent his apprentice and Journeyman times up North, sampling the different ways to make wines and other beverages, and found in Ista that he had a knack of making the grapes flourish even in areas generally considered too hot for the vines to grow properly. So when he at last attained his Master's knots at the age of fifty Turns, he already knew that his calling would take him onto the Southern Continent. Despite all his knowledge, he is still unwilling to experiment with wildly new ideas for beverages, feeling that Winecraft's job is to refine the ageold techniques rather than come up with strange new ideas that surely can never work. Currently he takes care of the Vintnery business at Sonnette's Dawn Hold, wishing to give the Hold and himself alike a good name in Winecraft.
