Physical Description : Jessalie has gray eyes and dark reddish hair that is continuing to darken as she grows older. When left loose, it falls to the middle of her back, but has to be tied up while on duty. Her figure is more girly than womanly; her curves have yet to fill out. As a healer, she learned to jump and move when told. As a weyrling and goldrider, she is just as busy, and is working on moving with the grace and poise she feels are required of goldriders.

Personality : She was not a particularly mature sixteen when she came to the Weyr, but experiences as well as time have changed her. Hold healing was different than Weyr healing; far more illness and less Threadscore. Both Turn 37's great Pernshake and the more recent hostage situation have helped her to mature emotionally. Healing has also taught her to remain calm no matter what the situation. She still, however is wary of tunnelsnakes and can be gullible.

Life Story : Jessalie was born in Sonnette's Dawn Hold shortly after its founding. As it was a new Hold, her parents, Koldan and Jaynie, expected her older brother Danlan to 'look after her.' He and his friends were less than enthused at first, but soon discovered that Jessa was smaller and quicker and thus could get into the most interesting places. They spent much of their early childhood in trouble, but fortunately their parents and the other adults understood that it was just children's mischief. When Jessa was ten and Danlan was fifteen, a SearchRider took him to Thread's End Weyr. Danlan Impressed Joth, becoming Brownrider D'lan.

Jessa was apprenticed to the Healer craft when she was twelve, and learned steadily until being Searched for a clutch when she was sixteen, in Turn 37. Her "dragon was not of that clutch," as it is said, and she has continued her apprenticeship under the Weyr MasterHealer.

She earned her journeywoman knots in Month 5 of Turn 38, and was sent to North Tip Fishing Hold. There she was Searched, brought to Ierne Island Weyr, where she Impressed Kalareth.

Physical Dragon : While not near her full growth, Kalareth shows signs of being a large gold. Her gold hide has reddish tinges in the shadows, and gleams healthily in the sun.

Dragon's Personality:Kalareth knows she is a queen, and expects due respect from others. She has a calming personality, and helps balance Jessalie's more frantic thoughts.

Pet's Description : Jisp is a small, dark brown firelizard. He likes to stick as close to Jessa has her duties permit, and his favorite position is curled up in her hair. He can get very frustrated when her duties cause it to be tied up. He also, like most firelizards, loves sunning and swimming.
