Physical Description : Kajale is of average height and weight with shoulder length dark hair, streaked with gray, which he keeps tied back with a scrap of leather. He has a kind face with an expressive mouth and his dark eyes, beneath a protruding brow, give him a perpetual brooding air. Due to an accident that resulted in his right leg being shorter than his left, he has a pronounced limp.

Personality : The former Steward of Ogren Hold is very competent in his duties. His philosophy is that there is always something more that one can do to make the make the day better. He is diligent about his duties and is so predictable that one can always find him in his office, working the Hold records, at precisely one hour before the Noon meal. At the same time, he is extremely flexible when the needs of the Hold require him to be.

Life Story : Kajale was born and raised at High Reaches Hold. At 13 Turns, he was assigned to work with the Steward and, by the time he reached 22 Turns, was sent to Ogren Hold to become their active Steward. He was 55 when he and several other members of the Hold were injured in a rock slide. Both of Kajale's legs were badly broken and took months to mend. Even with the best healers, the middle-aged man was left with a very noticeable limp as his right leg was now slightly shorter than the other.

The harsh mountain winters proved painful reminders of Kajale's injuries. He realized that he was unfit to continue his duties at Ogren Hold and retired as soon as the weather cleared enough for him to leave.

His brother's son, Jakale, had moved to Thread's End Hold more than ten Turns ago and, when he heard of his uncle's injury, immediately sent word that Kajale was more than welcome to move south and reside with him. Kajale took him up on the offer and moved to Thread's End Hold Month five, Turn 36.

During the months before Steward Varstael's transfer, Kajale got to know the other man and offered his help in matters of the Hold. Thus, with his experience, he was asked to temporarily fill Steward Varstael's role after the man's unexpected transfer.
