Physical Description : Dark-skinned with kinky, springy, shoulder-length hair, Korley hasn't grown into her full height yet so she has baby-fat cheeks and looks younger than she is. She can hardly stand to be still so there's always some part of her moving: legs swinging, fingers tapping, hands picking up abandoned things. She listens to people by staring straight at them intently, or at their hands where they're demonstrating, and she does everything with every bit of her broadcasting intent.

Personality : Talkative and outgoing, Korley was clearly completely safe and protected as a child. Though she was never hit, her family's attachment to the guardsmen has given her an appreciation for necessary violence. She has always been hands-on and she tends to take intense interest in very specific things for long periods of time. She is interested in firelizards, bewildered by dragons, and utterly fascinated by all aspects of crafting. She's deeply afraid of being a mother and drawn to Tirmia partly because of the woman's alternative life. She loves her father and mother both, but she was always her father's girl.

Life Story : A child of a Sonnette's Dawn guard and his wife, Korley grew up with a healthy respect for rules. She does value tradition but she dreads being married so she didn't protest when her mother, a smart woman, pushed her to the healers. When she began avoiding healing lessons to hang around the smiths, eventually meeting Tirmia, her mother initially regarded the journeywoman with suspicion but has come around when Korley was accepted as Tirmia's apprentice.

After only a few months, Tirmia decided to travel to Green Ridge Hold to finish her master's project under Master Smith Whitrit. More excited than scared, Korley went with her in Month 5 of Turn 39 on the back of the big bronze Brynmarith from Ierne Island and settled into studying with the stone and metal smiths at GRH. She hopes to return home with Tirmia within a turn.
