Physical Description : K'rai is a tall drink of water, standing the equivalent of 6'4" but barely hitting 210lbs fully drenched. He possesses a wiry build with muscles well toned. His skin is a darker tan with a copperlike underlying tint that doesn't burn too easily. His face sports a scar that runs from the inner edge of his left eyebrow, across his nose and ending at the right edge of his mouth, resulting in a constant slight upwards quirk of a half-grin. K'rai has dark brown (almost black) eyes, set somewhat wide but keen of sight and almond in shape. He has black hair that is terminally straight which he wears in a shoulder length braid.

Personality : Quiet and difficult to get to know, K'rai is not very good at relationships with the fairer sex. He is a private person who will rarely reveal any confidences but will if one has earned his trust. He prefers his privacy and respects other people's boundaries. He has a mischievous streak that occasionally breaks out in the form of creative teasing or pranks. K'rai has a sharp wit and keen sense of humor that is revealed pretty much only when he's inbibed too much. He loves to eat and will inhale most any cuisine with relish. If K'rai won't eat it, chances are no one else will either. He must always be doing something with his hands, usually has a small piece of wood upon which he whittles or carves. If he's nervous, the piece usually gets whittled away to the size of a toothpick - when relaxed, the piece may become an intricate carving.

Life Story : A neglected woman/child living in a sea Holding in Ista, Reyhav had often sought the comfort of visiting sailors and eventually became pregnant with Kaarai, by whom, she'd be hard pressed to ever know. An only child, Kaarai was subjected to the almost smothering attentions of his mother which led to many a miserable taunting by other youths of their Hold. Kaarai was around 11 Turns when, during one of his many scuffles with Hold boys, his face was slashed by a thin tree branch one of the boys was wielding. The excessive bleeding that resulted frightened the Hold boys away, leaving Kaarai to half-blindly make his way to the Healers. The cut was deep enough to leave a lasting scar.

Kaarai doesn't know who his father is since his mother isn't sure herself. He only knows that his father was a seacrafter. His mother tended to be overly protective of young Kaarai, resulting in his intense desire for privacy and his love of getting away from people. The closest thing to a father figure Kaarai ever had was a Master Tanner by the name of Jensar. Kaarai learned early on that excessive chatter only incensed Jensar while intelligent observation earned the rare compliment. Jensar long held himself aloof but eventually came to enjoy the company of the highly intelligent lad who keenly observed everything he did and keeping questions to a minimum. Kaarai apprenticed under Jensar until the Master suddenly died from heart failure.

Finding himself at sixteen Turns without a mentor and longing to escape his mother's smothering, Kaarai decided to try his luck on the Southern Continent and headed for Green Ridge Hold. He was seventeen turns of age when he was Searched for the first Gold/Brown clutch at Ierne Island Weyr. Much to his happy surprise, Brown Yeth, the last of the eggs to hatch, determinedly found K'rai on the Sands and Impression was made.

Dragon's Description : Yeth is a dark chocolate brown with a sandy colored underbelly. Where his rider is wiry and lithe, Yeth is stout and very muscular. He is middle sized for a brown but possess great stamina. His wings are a tad overlarge for his frame, the sails of which have different tones of brown mingled in a way not unlike a simple seawebbing pattern.

Dragon's Personality : Yeth is quite the outgoing dragon, almost a complete opposite of his rider although both share a wide streak of mischievousness. The brown loves to woo the female dragons, which is a good thing, otherwise K'rai would never get to know members of the opposite sex. Yeth is intensely curious about anything and everything and is always willing to be part of any conversation, dragon or human.
