MASTER WEAVER NARBA

Persona : Narba
Writing Status : NPC/Free
Age : 53
Rank/Craft : Master Weaver
Residence : Green Ridge Hold

Physical Description : Narba is of average height and weight with salt-and-pepper hair that she keeps short. As her hair gets lighter each year, her skin looks darker, although it is surprisingly smooth for a grandmother. Her brown eyes are so dark they tend to look black, especially to the learner who has earned her displeasure.

Personality : Narba has a reputation for being skilled in her craft, if a little conservative, and tough on apprentices and journey(wo)men except a few she's made favorites. Since her daughter chose not to finish her apprenticeship, choosing to marry instead, she has had trouble trusting women as apprentices in the craft, but has chosen not to discuss the matter, so no one who didn't know her all those turns ago is aware of this.

Life Story : Narba's training was entirely at High Reaches, and although she had six children from four different relationships, she fostered them all from a young age. She took them back as her own apprentices at age 12. One son made master fairly quickly, but when her daughter left the craft to marry, she disowned the girl and had little communication with her since that time.

Recently posted to Green Ridge, she brings welcome expertise to the fledgling Hold. To her unbridled surprise, however, she also came face to face with her disowned daughter, Unara, and is learning to cope with the sometimes uncomfortable situation. While she sees little of Unara, her husband Tokish, and two of their three children, Kotan and Tuku, Narba is finding in a third child, her granddaughter of ten turns, Unish, a curiosity and signs of interest in the WeaverCraft. It is a tiny flame Narba means to see nurtured.
