Physical Description : Nijarbi is a tall, gangly girl with dark brown eyes and hair. She has several scars on her arms from past run-ins with various canines and felines who objected to her restraint for the Beasthealers and a long scar on her leg from the sharp edge of a runner's hoof. Still, she has wholesome good looks that has caught the eye of more than one strapping boy.

Personality : Nij has a good sense of humor and a bright outlook on life, for the most part, anyway. She can let most things roll off her back, but when she finally reaches her limit, discretion is the better part of valor.

Life Story : Things were never too easy for Nijarbi, but she was as tenacious as an irritated tunnelsnake and refused to give up. When she Apprenticed to the Beastcraft, though, things began to click for her. When she was just over 14 turns of age, however, events in her life forced her to leave behind the remnants of childish behavior.

A strikingly handsome visiting Journeyman Herder and a romantic summer's night was the recipe for a serious life change. It was an incredible night, and nine months later, she was cradling a gorgeous baby boy in her arms with only the memory of the Herder to comfort her.

Nij's parents, farmers at Thread's End Hold, offered to help, and she was very grateful to them for all they did for mother and son. Still, she insisted on taking primary responsibility for the care of Inarbi, her son. However, when a dragon came on Search to the Hold and selected the brunette, Nijarbi was in a quandary. She wanted - more than she'd ever realized - to be Searched and Impress a dragon of her very own, but her duties to her son held her back. That's when her parents took her aside and insisted on caring for her son until after the Hatching.

"When you Impress your beautiful green dragonet," they said, "then you can decided what to do for the next two turns. Until then, let us spend some time with our grandbaby."

Moved beyond words, Nij gave them and her son a hug and kiss then grabbed some things and left for Thread's End Weyr and the clutch of Gold Tarmath resting on the Hatching Sands.

Her time as a Candidate was uneventful until the day of Hatching. She and two other Candidates had volunteered to help Queen rider Sionen with... "something". Just as they were wrapping things up, one of the Journeymen Beastcrafters from the Weyr came running up, calling for the queenrider. Nij was unceremoniously ordered to come with them, then shortly the dragons started their welcoming hum.

The Hatching had already began when Nijarbi, as well as the queen rider, arrived at the Hatching Grounds. One green - the last green as it turned out - was moving from Candidate to Candidate without any interest until her gaze fell on the latecomer. Eyes met and Impression was made.

It was a hard decision, but, after some heavy thinking, Nijarbi decided it would be best for her son to stay with her parents at Thread's End Hold... at least until after Weyrling training. Then... who knew?

Dragon's Description : Dhanteth is a petite green the color of spring leaves. While it's always hard to tell with a dragonet, Nij thinks Dhanteth will be about average in everything but personality.

Dragon's Personality : Even as a newly Hatched dragonet, Dhanteth had her own sense of how things should be. Considering her dam, it's not too surprising. There's the faintest hope she'll even out as she ages, but even her rider isn't too sure how likely that is.
