Physical Description : Pr'pen is 6'2", broad shoulders and slim hipped. He has black straight hair and startling blue eyes. He tans to a deep burnished bronze. Several scars cross his torso, but the source is unidentifiable. Thread scars are minimal.

Personality : Pr'pen is an introspective man, given to brooding. He is reckless with his flying, but would never put Alketh in any danger. Although there are some at Thread's End who knew him before he left, he has changed almost beyond recognition.

Life Story : Pr'pen was born in a Weyr, son to brown Rider P'race and a harper mother he doesn't know. He was brought up in the Weyr, subject to his father's physical abuse for turns. When he was 12, a surly lad, he was befriended by an itinerant, Georry. Georry convinced Pr'pen that stealing from the Weyr was his given right as the whole Weyr was treating him badly. Georry tried to talk Pr'pen into betraying the Weyr's trust in him, but was one day discovered to be an escaped child abusing criminal from Ista, and was promptly sent to the Crom mines as punishment. P'race simply assumed Georry had touched Pr'pen, and probably that Pr'pen had encouraged it. This wasn't the case, but things grew more strained between father and son.

Just as things reached critical mass, Pr'pen Impressed Alketh, and was taken out from his father's care. He was mistrusted by most other candidates, and indeed most of the Weyr. He became arrogant, mainly keeping to himself, but cutting a wide swathe through the ranks, mostly due to his good looks. He continued in the vein until meeting M'rk.

M'rk was a much older brownrider, and really pulled Pr'pen into place. Pr'pen thrived under the positive attention, even confronting his father about their past. They received counselling to reconcile their differences, and when M'rk was killed in thread fall, P'race was there for his son. Pr'pen eventually recovered from his grief, forging a bond with a new candidate and her brown rider lover (Taesha and Tr'seidon). When they were killed during an unfortunate mating flight, Pr'pen left Thread's End, vowing never to return...

Dragon's Description : Alketh was always an easygoing green, but seeing her lifepartner go through so much so quickly has sobered her greatly. She would support Pr'pen to the death, although she might disagree with him in private.

Dragon's Personality : Alketh is a dainty green, almost fluorescent in colour -- she has darker wings, and a shimmer of the same colour rides along her tail.
