Physical Description : Qeshet is 5 foot 10 inches tall, of thin build. She has long, straight black hair which she wears down. Along the left side she keeps one long thin braid, that is braided with tiny sea shell beads, a reminder of her first posting. She has blue eyes and a rather plain face, but her smile and her laughter are infectious. She has a long, wide, well healed scar down the full length of her left leg, so she wears long skirts or trousers to hide it. She sings with a rich contralto voice and has long, nimble fingers which are expert at playing the harp and guitar.

Personality : Qeshet is brilliant and confident. She is proficient in nearly every aspect of the harper craft, but her first love has always been teaching children. She has a light-hearted sense of humor, loves to tease and be teased, and has perfected the art of patience with the slow witted. However, she has an equally quick temper, fast and bright as lightening, with those students who are full of excuses to cover their laziness, or when her personal moral and ethical boundaries are crossed.

Life Story : Qeshet was born at High Reaches Weyr, the third child of a dragonrider and the weyr harper. She was never fostered, but spent much of her childhood with her mother learning the harper craft. Like her older siblings, she was presented on the sands as a dragonrider candidate at the age of 15. Unfortunately before she could impress, she was mauled by a dragonet hatchling as it stumbled across the sands. She nearly bled to death as she was hauled off to the infirmary. Once healed she decided to follow her older sister Jolani into the harper craft and applied to the harper craft hall at Fort Hold and was immediately accepted, so at fifteen Qeshet began her formal training in the harper hall.

At age 20, she was promoted to Journeywoman and began her life outside the hall. For her first posting she was assigned to serve as a traveling harper between several small seaside holds on the southern coast of Tilik. It was there she fell in love and married a fisherman named Roysan. At age 24 she gave birth to a son named Roquet.

In turn 39, Roysan was promoted to senior journeyman seacrafter and offered a ship of his own trawling the waters of the Dragonsgate River, so Qeshet applied and been hired as a teaching harper at Green Ridge Hold. Qeshet's older sister is Masterharper Jolani, administrator at Thread's End Harper Hall, and her older brother, Brownrider J'qar at Ierne Island Weyr.
