Physical Description : Rialka is of average hieght, about 5 ft 6 inches, tall and slender. She's nicely rounded with a bit of an hourglass curve, alittle heavier at the hips than the top. Her skin is fair and freckled. Her eyes are an unusal pale grey with a darker grey edge. They give her a slightly startled look when combined with her high cheekbones and winged brows. Her face is softened from it's angular planes by a high forehead and slightly squared-off chin. Her hair is cut in short waves, that she is constantly tucking behind her ears. It is a dark rich brown that compliments her pale skin tone. She's fairly muscular from kneading bread and beating batter over the years.

Personality : Rialka is quiet and thoughtful. She likes helping and feels she makes a better follower than a leader. She has a habit of underestimating herself. She likes to be organized and keep things neat, especially when she's cooking. She'll organize everything first before she starts any project. This is occasionally a problem as some people think she's dallying instead of getting things done. Surprisingly she has a nasty temper and a bad habit of holding grudges if finally roused to anger. She dislikes bullies and people who critize dragonriders or the weyrs. Rialka is fericely loyal to her friends and can have a very sharp tongue. Much to her chagrin, when her dander is up she'll lay into anyone regardless of rank. This has caused her problems in the past. She simply cannot let a wrong pass unchecked. She takes her duties very seriously.

Life Story : Rialka is the daughter and granddaughter of dragonriders. Her green and brown rider parents, gave her over to the lower caverns women to be raised at Fort Weyr. She showed a talent for the kitchen at a young age constantly bugging the lower caverns cooks to let her 'help'. At age twelve she was gladly apprenticed to the weyr's baker.

Rialka has a half sister Felidova, who impressed a green and a full brother, Kadalkan, who is a dragonhealer at Fort. She likes and values dragonriders, but has no desire to become involued with one. She has seen too much heartache among the lower caverns women, when a lover doesn't return from a fall. She has surprisingly hold minded ideas about love and sex. She avoids being around all riders when a dragon rises. The sight of mating flights made an impression on her as a young child and it was a rather scary impression.

Oddly though she refuses to leave the weyr, saying only that she belongs there. To the point of when her mother transferred to Ierne after her father's death during a fall, Rialka transferred with her. To both her and her mother's surprise she was searched for the double clutch on the sands at Ierne when they arrived. Felka, her mother, was thrilled, Rialka is less sure that this is such a good idea, but accepted the search for her mother's sake and her father's memory.
