Physical Description : Rin stands at 5'7" with brown hair down to just past her shoulders. Her eyes seem to shift colors from green to blue, which they are now more blue than green but they are always bright and vivid. Rin's appearance doesn't seem it but she is very strong and doesn't usually need to ask for help moving things. She has three distinguishing scars, one on her right wrist in the shape of an odd 'A', on her left upper arm from a feline attack on her trip to Thread's End Weyr. And, a scar on her neck from a knife from a Brownrider that had lost his dragon and held her (as well as many others) hostage in the Infirmary.

Personality : Rin upon arriving at the Weyr was very shy and polite until her green firelizard died and she became a loner. Now she is becoming more sociable and confident, where before a smile was rare and a laugh unheard of.

Life Story : Born in Moonlight Hold, Rin lived a happy childhood with her mother, Telarna, a kitchen worker; and her beloved father, Elmar, a Journeyman Beastcrafter. Her best friends were Ardes and the twins, Sparos and Jarbos.

At 15 Turns, Rin Impressed Rael, a green firelizard, the sole survivor of her clutch. Later that Turn her father was killed trying to break a runner for her. In her grief Rin's mother Telarna followed shortly after. The Holder Jandel took her in as a foster daughter, bus she wasn't the same.

Two Turns later, she and Rael would travel the wilds of Southern continent to Thread's End Weyr. they wouldn't make it, being attacked by a wild feline, clawed on her left arm. She was saved by Brownrider M'cair and his Brown Taminth, who transported her the remaining distance to the Weyr.

During her first few months, Rin worked in the kitchens. In an attempt to get her into a craft, Headwoman Havana sent her to the Infirmary for a short time. It was during that tie she realized she would rather serve the Healer craft saving people from injuries and illness, than saving their hunger pains.

Rin was later Searched for Gold Tarmath's clutch and failed ot Impress. Not long afterwards an Earthshake in Month 1 of Turn 38, would hit Threa'd End Weyr. Among the areas damaged part of the Apprentice barracks caved in killing her firelizard Rael. Traumatized, Rin's companion, F'ryss, did his best to try and help her get through the devestating event.

In month 3, the bad kept coming and F'ryss was killed by a wild feline he and his lifemate Venseth were hunting.

Emotionallly scarred, Rin did her best to push past the tragedies and buried herself into her studies, shutting herself off from everyone else.

As she began to adjust to the losses Rin was reunited with her childhood friends, Ardes, Jarbos, and Sparos. The three urged her to take a day trip out on a skiff, which she agreed to. The day trip turned into a nearly three month trip, when a Southern squall turned up, destroying their skiff.

When Rin and the others were rescued, she dove back into her studies with a vigor and determination that she hadn't had before.

After taking two Turn End exams, Rin went to visit Moonlight Hold where she Impressed, on the same beach she did Rael, a Gold firelizard Vaelya. With the strong mind of her Gold firelizard, Rin's personality is changing for the better.

Shortly after returning from Moonlight Hold, Rin was informed that she did so well on her first Turn exams and the second Turn exams, she hadn't realized were Turn Two, that when classes resumed she would be a Third Turn Apprentice.

Pet Description : Vaelya is large for a Gold firelizard, her body color is light, except for her claws which are a rich golden color. Vaelya while young is a bit demanding, she is very intelligent, obedient and loves begin with Rin. She does have the occasional tendency to bring Rin anything she finds interesting, even if they belong to someone else; but, she is very good about returning the borrowed item. Vaelya is protective of Rin, she has the patience to deal with young children, unless they pull on her tail or wings.
