Physical Description : Rosehana's curly brown hair is long enough for her to sit on it. If she is not wearing it loose, her hair is braided in one form or another. She is 5'7 and enjoys wearing long skirts and dresses to compliment her height.

She has narrow brown eyes which gives the impression that she is constantly squinting from Rukbat's rays. She has a long nose and a small mouth. She has high cheekbones. "Striking" is the adjective used often to describe her, for few find her to be pretty.

Personality : Rosehana is free-spirited and warm. She loves to take solitary journeys on Rhythm, her black runnerbeast. She enjoys the company of children. She was spoiled as a child and still likes to have her way. She has a bad temper. She will throw things when she is angry, which has made her friends wary of giving her handmade gifts. She does get moody, but a ride always makes her feel better.

One of her favorite solitary activities is to walk around the boat docks of Green Ridge Hold. She has been known to wander the Hold's hills without Rhythm. Often, she would take her class on hikes for a botanical study.

Life Story : Rosehana was born at Fort Hold's HarperCraft Hall to Journeywoman Harper Sehana and Journeyman Harper Rosphin. When Rosehana had one turn, Sehana was Searched and Impressed green Crysath.

Rosphin transferred to Fort Weyr with his mate and took the responsibility of raising Rosehana. Sehana gave birth to two other children who were conceived from Crysath's mating flights. They were fostered by other women at the Weyr. Rosehana always stayed with Rosphin until she went back to the Harper Hall to be an apprentice harper. She didn't go back to the Weyr until she walked the tables.

At the time Rosehana had twenty-seven turns, she and her parents learned about the need for harpers and dragonriders at Thread's End Weyr. It sounded promising and exciting. The transfers were made.

It didn't take Rosehana long to fall in love with a brownrider. She was his weyrmate for six years before he and his brown went /between/ during Fall. A turn later, Sehana and Crysath also went /between/. To cope with her grief, Rosehana decided she needed a change and transferred to Thread's End HarperCraft Hall. It was during her one term there that she acquired Rhythm before she was transferred to Green Ridge Hold in turn 36.

Pet Description : Rhythm is black and gentle. He likes to have children and Rosehana's friends ride him when Rosehana is present. Without her presence, he is very particular about who rides him. He also enjoys the solitary rides with Rosehana and seldom needs a bridle. They have their own signals.

Pet Description : Description and Personality: Little Lady Black is a feline kitten given to Rosehana by one of her students whose feline had a litter. She is all black with green eyes. In spite of her size, Little Lady Black's proprietary manner over Rosehana's cot reminds the harper of Lady Jianna.

Little Lady Black is curious and adventurous. She loves to accompany Rosehana and the children on their hikes. She even likes being on Rosehana's shoulder when the harper is riding Rhythm.
