Physical Description : Tyrzha is 5'9", 130 lbs, with tanned skin, black hair and dark brown almond shaped eyes. She is sleek of build, long of leg with a well toned muscle structure. Her hair is terminally straight, below shoulder length and usually worn in a thick, single braid.

Personality : Tyrzha is intensely private and introspective. She has a will of iron and strong survival instincts. She is very intelligent, keen of wit and possesses a dry, if somewhat morbid, sense of humor. She has a high appreciation for things of beauty and class.

She speaks rarely, being more used to solitude than to groups of people. She has an affinity for imitating animals and sounds found in the jungles of Southern. Because of this, her two pets, a bronze firelizard and large feline do not really have names.

Life Story : Tyrzha, at age 8, was one of few survivors of a shipwreck along remote shores of the Southern Continent. She lost her parents and a pair of siblings, whose names she cannot remember. The only person she remembers is the Harper who survived the same wreck as she.

The Harper schooled her thoroughly in all the Teaching Ballads and Weyr, Hold and Craft leadership of the times. He also taught the girl what little he knew about Southern plantlife. The pair survived at a subsistence level for approximately 6 Turns until the Harper was attacked by a large feline who was protecting newborn cubs. Tyrzha killed the mother feline and one of the cubs, saving the other to raise on her own. The mortally wounded Harper hung on for a few sevendays, passing only when he pressed a promise from his young charge to travel north to find civilization.

About six months after burying the Harper and heading a little ways north, Tyrzha encountered a hunter from a rogue band of holdless castaways (raiders who'd been shipwrecked on the way to being punished). The man took pity on the 15 Turns old girl and brought her under his wing and protection. She remained with the hunter for about 4 Turns, with him being her first and only lover. When he was murdered by the other members of the group because he would not share Tyrzha, the girl and her now fully grown feline avenged the hunter, killing all the men with no mercy.

Tyrzha was first discovered by a brownrider on sweeps from the newly established Ierne Island Weyr. She followed the dragonrider's suggestion to join the Weyr as a huntress and is slowly adjusting to integrating herself into Pernese society.

Pet's Description : Warble (for lack of a true name) is a Bronze firelizard Tyrzha found during her treks alone in the South. She impressed him after rescuing the little firelizard from wherries that had killed the mother gold as the clutch was hatching. He is a highly trained flitter and very protective of his mistress. He hunts in tandem with Tyrzha and her feline.

Pet's Description : This large feline responds to his name which is more of a growl than a real name. His fur is a mottled coal colored pelt with a light grey strip on his snout. He is nervous around large crowds of people, as his mistress is, being more used to the solitude of the Southern jungles.
